Severe Nocturnal Thunderstorm in Perth County, ON - June 13, 2024
An isolated severe thunderstorm produced a narrow swath of damaging winds and hail to quarter size from Rostock to Gads Hill in Southern Perth County on June 13, 2024 near 11:20PM. Several tree branches and a few larger tree limbs were snapped.

HP Tornadic Supercell Chase - San Jon to Clovis, NM - 05/24/2023

This monster HP supercell tracked between San Jon and Clovis, NM producing several tornadoes including a strong rain-wrapped tornado with deviant southward motion. Extremely strong inflow winds and destructive RFD also occurred. This chase had the most significant chaser convergence I have seen to date.

Video from a fun chase in far west Texas on May 19th, 2023. We had this storm almost to ourselves as most chasers targeted further south. This HP supercell had ripping 60 MPH dusty inflow and produced several strong gustnadoes.

After cycling many times and struggling to achieve tornadogenesis, this supercell finally got its act together north of Clovis, NM. A persistent rapidly rotating wall cloud developed with funnel clouds occasionally protruding underneath. Eventually, a short-lived ground circulation occurred in a distant field captured on video. The storm also produced copious amounts of hail to half-dollar size...

This violent thunderstorm produced a swath of wind damage across southern Perth County from near Sebringville to the south side of Stratford. Many mature trees were snapped and branches were strewn everywhere. Fields of crops were flattened. This video captures the intense moments inside the core of the storm just south of Sebringville.

Here is a video showing an incredible pulsating aurora display just NW of London, Ontario shortly after 1AM on April 24, 2023. Honestly I'd I were to pick this up as even a hobby this is the type of storms is chase. I'm not as huge into the tornadoes as I am microbursts, macrobursts, and derechos. The derechos especially are like an on land hurricane, same destruction as a tornado over a much larger area. I think about ones like the 2020 Iowa Super Derecho, and the impressive display of raw power and destruction that one causes, and I can't think of anything more awe inspiring than that.

I was there the next night and as a point of reference at 4:32 in the video there is a yellow and black arrow sign on the light pole. The top of that sign is 6 feet off the ground. At 4:39 in the video there is a chunk of ice sitting on the grass below the arrow sign that was 2 feet thick. If I remember correctly there was ice in that area till late June possibly till early July.
